A few things to know
Do my photos leave my device?
No. The converter processes photos locally in your browser and keeps them in this tab's memory until you clear them or close the page. We do not upload your photos. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures visits and loading performance without analytics cookies. We are preparing Google AdSense advertising, which may use cookies and collect browsing information once enabled. Read our Privacy & cookies policy for details and your choices.
Will my photo look exactly the same?
JPG is a lossy format. We use 90% quality by default, and you can change it above. This version converts the primary still image only: motion, depth data, HDR and embedded metadata (including GPS) are not preserved. Colors may differ from the original HDR or wide-color photo.
Which files and browsers work?
Use a recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari with WebAssembly and OffscreenCanvas support. Up to 20 HEIC or HEIF files, 20 MB each and 100 MB per batch. Photos above 24 megapixels are rejected to limit memory use. Some HEIF codecs and damaged files cannot be decoded. On a phone, try a smaller batch if memory is limited.
